About Me

For over 40 years I have been a practicing massage therapist combining my skills and talent to create complete wellness solutions through massage, fitness and nutrition. Since 1991 I have been a massage educator teaching students who desire to become massage therapists.

I began my teaching career as a student clinic supervisor at the Potomac Massage Training Institute (PMTI) in Washington, DC. Over the years, I expanded my teaching and included anatomy, swedish and deep tissue massage, business practices, and integration between mind and body.

In 2006, my husband and I moved to the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I was fortunate to find a great massage therapy program at Chesapeake College. I began teaching with the Director, Damaris Bourland, in 2007. At the community college level, we are able to offer students an A.A.S. (Associates in Applied Science) or a certificate in massage therapy.

Since 2011 I have been teaching at Anne Arundel Community College in Health Sciences. I’m certified through ACE as a Health Coach and teach health, wellness and fitness classes at AACC.

In 2017 we moved to The Villages, Florida where we currently reside!  I continue to teach Health and Wellness classes at Polk State College in Winter Haven, Florida.  I officially retired from Massage Therapy after 40 years as a massage therapist in 2019.

My passion for yoga has flourished and I completed 500 Yoga Teacher Training Program with Brett Larkin in 2020.  I have continued with my Professional Development and have completed certifications in Aqua Yoga and Aqua Yoga for Arthritis with Christine Fairbrother.
